| By keyword: |
Type in individual words or groups of words that describe the content you want represented in your required image.
Our search engine tries to match ALL the words so don't put in extra words.
Eg: villa beach (not villa and beach; leave out all non relevant words)
Our engine will find all images with your search words in the title AND also all those images where any keyword is the same as a category tagged to an image.
So, if you type in 'river Arthurs Pass', you'll get every picture with both 'Arthurs Pass' and 'river' in the title and you'll also get any image that may not have either keyword in its title but has both of those keywords as a category tag.
You might see more images than you expect if you enter a simple single word like 'beach'....... the fewer the number of keywords you enter, the more pictures will be found.
If you type a lot of words in the search box and see a lot of seemingly irrelevant images, reduce the number of keywords; distill your search query down to the bare bones: eg 'road southern alps winter' not 'road through the southern alps in winter'.

| By category: |
Simply click on the category in the tree on search page.
You'll get all images that have that category pinned to them. Multiple categories can't be filtered so it's just one category at a time.

| By image code: |
If you know the code, just type it in the search box. |

| Model released option: |
Click this before clicking 'Search' or hitting enter and it'll filter the result to only show you model and/or property released images. |

| Tip: |
If you want to find beaches in Northland, its best to type in 'beach northland' as a keyword search rather than try to do it by category. |

| Unscanned transparencies: |
Like any library that's been operating 20 years we have a lot of unscanned material that might match your search request; its displayed on the last page as a text entry.
If you want to see any of those unscanned images add them to your lightbox and click 'Request search', tell us a bit about what you want and we'll send you relevant image scans as soon as possible.

| Lightboxes: |
These allow you to add and subtract images to them for storage, further viewing, emailing to yourself or others, or later reference.
Lightboxes are the starting point for further requests such as comps, quotes or scans.
You can choose whether or not we remember you (needs a cookie) to make it easier to recall what you looked for at any stage.

| Registering: |
We only ask you to register when you send or save a lightbox or make a request.
We will never sell or share your information and we promise not to bombard you with non relevant stuff!

| Request: |
Once you have images in your lightbox you can ask us to quote, supply a comp, supply a scan or ask us further questions. Just follow the steps on screen.

| Scans: |
Non watermarked comps are available free of charge on request;..... add the image you want to your lightbox, click 'Comp/Layout', follow the instructions. We scan to order... some formats (panoramas) may need drum scanning off site. |

| Quotes: |
Click 'Quote' directly from a menu button or as part of the search, comp/scan or production scan request process.
