The Focus New Zealand Photo Library has been operating as a successful specialist New Zealand image resource for the past 20 years. We manage and promote a resource of over 50,000 images from many contributors. We have an extensive client base and reputation based on excellent stock.

We offer contributing photographers:

Participation with a well established and respected specialist New Zealand photo library.

No joining, scanning or holding fees.

Commission rate 50% of GST exclusive licence value.

Quarterly sales and commission report, showing sold, pending payment and paid.
If there is no activity, a report is not generated.

Computer based real time tracking of your catalogued images.

Unbiased representation of all contributors' images held.

What you need to do.

Send us a selection of your best images. (See submission information).

SEND SCANNED IMAGES ONLY FOR EVALUATION: DO NOT SEND FILM

Scans from transparency stock must be a minimum of 5MB rgb tif files, 300 dpi, uncropped full frame, adjusted, cleaned.

Use ADOBE RGB 1998 colour profile only.

You can send thumbnails by email for initial selection; keep them under 50kb per image.

We will select from the digital submission, then request from you the original film or fully finished uncompressed digital files.

Remember, final digital images need to be a minimum 300 dpi A4, preferably larger if you have >8MP, rgb tiff uncompressed format, adjusted, Adobe 1998 rgb profiles.

Transparency film in all formats, unmounted and captioned or detailed on separate sheet.

If you are unable to send scans for evaluation, we accept film, but it may delay evaluation, scanning and loading to the site ... if you want to get your pics up quick, send scans.

Before we add your material to the online catalogue and start licensing its use, we'll send you a contract and an IR330 tax declaration form

If you are tax exempt, you'll need to state that and attach a copy of your current tax exemption certificate.

Ensure you send appropriate Model Releases. People images without releases will not be selected unless they are crowd scenes or unrecognisable or selected for editorial purposes.

Ensure you send appropriate Property Releases including current owners name, address and phone number.
We need to hold or sight a copy of the model/property release in every case.

Ensure that images held by or sent to Focus do not conflict with images held elsewhere.

Do not send dupes.
